The North Fork South Platte River is a tributary of the South Platte River and is located near the headwaters in the Rocky Mountains southwest of Denver. It begins near Webster at the continental divide and flows southeast where it joins Geneva Creek and water diverted from the west slope of the continental divide through Robert’s Tunnel at the town of Grant. Downstream from Grant it is followed by U.S.285 until Bailey. This stretch of water is home to the Long Meadow Ranch, Boxwood Gulch, North Fork Guest Ranch, North Fork Meadows, and Farmer’s Union. Some of the best fly fishing Colorado has to offer is found in these waters.
The Blue Quill Angler is a member of the Rocky Mountain Angling Club that provides Blue Quill Angler guests with private water opportunities all across the state of Colorado. There are too many waters to mention but Blue Quill would love to guide you through some of our favorites.
